Stabilization & Functional Exer.

Authors, P. Burke, V. Phelps and P. Sizer, Jr. tout a revolutionary approach to managing chronic back and neck pain using the CTL S.A.F.E. Method which stands for "cervical-thoracic-lumbar stabilization and functional exercise". Just over 50 pages, an educational book for those with spinal dysfunctions and core instability issues. Designed to be a patient's workbook, it allows for writing in personal notes pertaining to one's own performance, specific tendencies and exercise progression. It briefly touches on strength training with core stability being maintained and offers various ideas for resistance training (the ball is one of them). Good for the therapist by providing an organized approach for treatment of spinal stability problems and great for the patient by educating them about the back's anatomy and the importance of spinal "restabilization".
